Color goes in two ways: an integral color mixed into the cement itself, and a release powder or concrete stain worked into the surface to create the depth and variation real stone has.
The whole process, called concrete stamping, happens in a window of roughly 45 to 90 minutes. Too early and the concrete stamp sinks and smears. Too late and it barely registers. Sealing & Long-Term Protection

How long does stamped concrete last in Maryland?
Properly installed and resealed on schedule, 25 to 30 years or more. The failures you see around the area are almost always thin slabs, poor base prep, no air entrainment, or a surface that was never sealed.
Does stamped concrete get slippery?
Textured patterns provide decent grip on their own, and we add a non-slip additive to the sealer on pool decks, walkways, and steps.
Will it crack?
